Tetsuji Honna to win Vietnamese cultural award

Tetsuji Honna, the musical director and principal conductor of the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, has been given the "KY NIEM CHUONG" prize (Vietnamese cultural award) for his long time contribution to the expansion of classical music in Vietnam. In 2011, he had also been awarded by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs for his contribution to the cultural exchange between Japan and Vietnam.

The Ceremony has been held last Saturday, and Tuan Anh, the minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism has handed him the prize.





In Autumn 2013, Tetsuji Honna will be on tour in Japan with the VNSO in order to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Japan and Vietnam.
