Piano Tomasz Rittel

PROFILE


Tomasz Ritter was born in 1995 in Lublin, Poland. In 2008, he became a pupil of Irina Rumianceva-Dabrowski at the Karol Szymanowski State School of Music in Warsaw, from which he graduated with a special honors diploma. From September 2014, he has been a student of the Pyotr Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, in the class of  prof. Mikhail Voskresnsky (piano), prof. Alexei Lubimov (piano, pianoforte)  and Maria Uspienskaya and Alexei Shevchenko (harpsichord).

Winner of the 1st International Chopin Competition on Period Instruments in Warsaw (2018).

He is also a winner of numerous other competitions, such as the 9th International Competition For Young Pianists “Arthur Rubinstein in memoriam” in Bydgoszcz (receiving also the Aniela Młynarska-Rubinstein Prize and the Arthur Rubinstein’s Ruby Pin for Artistic Individuality), Enschede (2010, 1st prize and the Press Prize); Prague (2010, “Talent Mladeho Klaviru”).In 2012 he became a laureate of the Young Artists’ Stage at the 46th Polish Piano Festival in Słupsk.

Tomasz Ritter participated in master classes given by Victor Merzhanov, Tatiana Shebanova, Vera Nosina, Avedis Kouyoumdjian, Malcolm Bilson, Andras Staier, Tobias Koch. He participated in festivals and concerts in Poland and abroad, performing with the Polish Radio Orchestra,  Sinfonia Varsovia, Sinfonia Baltica, Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, Quartet from Prague and Stradivari Quartet from Zurich.
